Kelmscott House was the beautiful riverside home of William Morris for the last eighteen years of his life. The William Morris Society is opening up its premises in Kelmscott House for this special event

This wonderful Georgian building has a fascinating history, with several famous residents throughout its long history, although it is William Morris who was its most notable occupant. The William Morris Society now occupies the lower floors of the House, with a beautiful new exhibition covering the incredible life and work of Morris and his family in Hammersmith. Visitors are welcome to view the displays on self-guided visits during our special opening hours on 13th and 20th September between 10.00 and 16.00. Printing demonstrations on William Morris's historic Albion hand press used at the Kelmscott Press are running throughout the day.
