Winchester Cathedral and the British Empire

This tour of Winchester Cathedral will explore how the British Empire was presented in the art and language of memorials during the 19th century. Visitors will be introduced to a range of notable types of memorial from the period and reflect on what we can understand about the British Empire from what we can see in the Cathedral. The tour, which was last between 45-60 minutes, will be followed by a 45-minute workshop with refreshments, to give visitors a chance to discuss the tour and ask questions.

Please wait outside the front of the Cathedral opposite the War Memorial and a member of the team will meet you there.
