Winchester Friends (Quaker) Meeting House
16 Colebrook Street, Winchester, Hampshire, SO23 9LH
Our house has a number of interesting historic features outside and inside. From the top floor there are great views of Wolvesey Castle and the Bishops Palace. The garden is a beautiful enclosed spot with areas for quiet sitting or meditation - a perfect place to enjoy some peace and a drink, with maybe a cream tea!
Our exhibition this year is "Innocent Trades" looking at the professions Quakers have been involved with since our founding. There will also be a small exhibition of Peace Posters from Quaker sources.
On Saturday between 11:00 and 13:00: Creating peace ribbons - an art workshop for all.

The ground floor of the house and the garden are wheel chair and disabled friendly but not the upper floors unfortunately.
The house and garden are an interest in themselves but also it is the Meeting House of Quakers in Winchester - a quiet hour of stillness each Sunday morning and Wednesday lunchtime (half hour). Many other organisations and hirers use our house during the week. We have wardens who are on duty for most parts of the week.
