Everyday Histories in Worcester Park from the Iron Age to the Computer Age

The story of everyday life in the area now covered by Worcester Park postal district takes us from early farming settlements, through the medieval communities of Cuddington and Malden, and the changes resulting from the rise and fall of Nonsuch Palace and the arrival of the railway, to the suburb we know today. In the 20th century local jobs became more diverse, from banknote printing to pioneering computing. David Rymill has been researching the history of Worcester Park for many years, and in this illustrated talk will show how recorded memories and archive documents can give us insights into daily life through the centuries.
