A 00 gauge model railway display, featuring Harleston Station and Yard, and how it featured in the working lives of local people and businesses over the years.

The will be running a full schedule of model railway rolling stock that might have used Harleston Station, and particularly the Yard, throughout its working life, with particular emphasis on the people and goods that passed through. The station formed an important transport hub that featured highly in people’s working lives.

There will be two videos running during the day, showing a full size trip on the last passenger service on the Waveney Valley Line, from Harleston to Beccles and return, filmed on the January 1955, together with a small film taking the viewer around the model, viewed from the front of a J15 locomotive at miniature scale.
