Zion Chapel Art Exhibition

Join us for an exhibition of work for one day only at the Zion Congregational Chapel in Settle. Artists have been invited to exhibit by guest curators from the Zion Art Group, formed in July 2026 of neighbours and friends of the Zion Chapel who are keen to see the building restored to community use.

Due to safety concerns, this building is only available to the public by special arrangement, such as for today's event.

Attendees need to book in for a timed slot, arrive at the entrance to the chapel and be given a high vis vest and short (c. 5 minute) safety briefing. Each viewing session will last 45 minutes, though you are welcome to leave before the end of the slot.

Please note that the building has no toilets or running water on site. The nearest toilets are at The Folly, c. 200m away. The site is at the top of steep hill and accessible only by stairs on the exterior, including stairs with no handrail. Inside, artworks will cover two floors, also accessible only by stairs. All visitors must attend the site safety briefing and agree to wear a high vis (supplied) or entry will be denied on the day. This is to keep all visitors safe.

Please note: this is a derelict building with several health and safety hazards. It is not wheelchair accessible and has no running water or toilets on site. Attendees must attend a site safety briefing before entering the site. If you miss the safety briefing at the start of your timeslot, unfortunately we will not be able to grant you entry. Gender neutral toilets, including baby change but excluding accessible disabled toilets, are available at The Folly, c. 200m walk away.
