Borrowdale - Guided walk around Thorneythwaite

National Trust car park at Seatoller, Borrowdale Road, Seatoller, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 5XN

Meet the National Trust team and discover the work they're doing behind the scenes to care for the cultural and natural heritage at Thorneythwaite Farm on a guided walk taking in the archaeological site discovered in 2017.

To combat the decline in British wildlife populations, we've got a national ambition to create 25,000 hectares of high nature status land by 2025. As a key partner in the Lake District World Heritage Site partnership we've also got an important role in preserving the unique cultural heritage of the Lake District landscape. Find out how we're working with farmers to balance the needs of natural and cultural heritage by trialling nature-friendly farming techniques at Thorneythwaite.
