Tour of The Municipal Hotel Liverpool - MGallery

Dale Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, L2 2DH

Originally built in the 1860's The Municipal Building has been transformed into a beautiful hotel. Come and see the changes and also learn about the building's history and view several of the original features that were retained.

We are delighted to invite you to join an exclusive tour of Liverpool’s iconic Municipal Building, and experience it’s transformation from City Council offices into a luxurious 5* hotel.

Built in 1868, the building’s unique design was inspired by both French and Italian architecture, with its original exterior façade featuring 18 sandstone figures representing the arts, sciences and industries of Liverpool.

However, it is the iconic clock tower that has been painstakingly restored to its former glory that truly distinguishes the Municipal Building, soaring proudly into the skies over the city of Liverpool.

On our exclusive tour, learn about the building’s history and observe several original features dating back to that bygone era, whist at the same time experiencing the transformation of this building, marrying old and new, to bring you to another time and space.

This event took place in September 2023 and the entry is now archived.
