Ventnor Heritage Centre
11 Spring Hill, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, PO38 1PE
Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund the Heritage Centre has been able to continue the work started last year. All the windows are now covered with vinyl to protect the artefacts and new lighting has been installed.
There are new exhibitions this year including a tableau of a Victorian kitchen to compliment the Victorian tableaux in the front windows.
The working models of Ventnor and Ventnor West stations are still running and the archives contain information and photos of the Ventnor district including the Royal National Hospital, St. Catherine's Home and Steephill Castle.
The computer system is being upgraded including the website and the database for the use of visitors.
At the desk we have postcards, photos, DVDs and books for sale.
If you have not visited the Museum recently we hope to see you to "show off"" all the changes.
- Sunday 10 September: 1330-1630
No booking required
The centre is near the Central Car Park and the No 3 bus stops almost outside. It is at the junction of the bottom of Grove Road and Spring Hill.
