Equipped with headphones, follow a silent walk through the tree-lined avenues of this beautiful Victorian cemetery while listening to a specially curated soundtrack. Explore a hidden world
Open for just one weekend each year, the North Entrance at Dover's Western Heights offers access to a remarkable network of tunnels, gun rooms, defensive structures and vast underground water tanks. This extraordinary site provides a rare glimpse behind doors usually closed to the public.

Climb a legendary tower
At 253 feet tall, Wainhouse Tower dominates the Halifax skyline, and comes with an intriguing story that led to it becoming known by some as the "Tower of Spite". Whether or not the nickname is deserved, visitors who tackle the climb will be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views and the chance to learn more about the fascinating story of its construction.
Step into the past
The Red Wyvern Society will transform the grounds of Brougham Hall into a living 15th Century encampment, recreating daily life in the late middle ages. Wander among tents, meet costumed interpreters and discover the customs that shaped everyday life.
Discover the Devil's Cauldron
Explore this steep-sided river gorge, filled with temperate rainforest, carved into the western edge of Dartmoor. Descend into the Devil's Cauldron pothole on a platform over the water, and take in the 30-metre-high Whitelady Waterfall which cascades down a sheer rock face into the gorge.
