Ringing of the bells with the new bell tapper donated by John Figg in memory of his wife, Roma.

John will then lead a talk on Robert Hooke and the architectural history of the church. The present church at Willen was built about 1680 entirely funded by the then Lord of the Manor, Dr Richard Busby (Headmaster of Westminster School). The design was by Robert Hooke (contemporary and colleague of Christopher Wren) who has been described as ‘England’s Leonardo'. The talk will give a brief description of the church and Parish and information on the new bells installation. Pre-booking is required.
