150 Years of St Anne's Moseley

St Anne's Church, Park Hill, Moseley, Birmingham, West Midlands, B13 8DU

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

To celebrate 150 years since the consecration of the church, you can browse a selection of historical material from our archives. On the 13th there will also be the opportunity to visit the tower and bells (not normally accessible to the public).

The Anglican church of St Anne, Moseley was consecrated in 1874. As we reach the end of our 150th year celebrations, we will have on display some of the material from our archives giving a flavour of the church and the parish through the years. For example, we have magazines from 1948 onwards (with some interesting articles highlighted), photos from parish events from the past; events calendars, newspaper cuttings and various material about building repairs and post-war restoration work.

Volunteers will be available to give a brief introductory tour of the building, and on Saturday 13th our bellringers will also be available to lead tours of the tower and an opportunity to see the bells in situ - the tower is not normally open to the public. Note, however that the tower tour involves 50+ steps on a narrow spiral staircase which may be a little dusty.
