A Step into the Past at Willenhall Library

Willenhall Library is housed in the former Willenhall Town Hall, which was built in 1934 for Willenhall Urban District Council. When Willenhall became part of Walsall County Borough in 1966, the council chamber and the rest of the building were left redundant, until the library moved into the ground floor in 1969. This is your chance to explore part of the building not normally open to the public and to visit the perfectly preserved council chamber, complete with its original furniture and photographs of former Willenhall mayors.

Please note access to the council chamber is via a double stair case, unfortunately we do not have lift access to the first floor. There are two disabled parking bays for Blue Badge holders to the rear of the building, access is via Bath Street.
Additional information
There is limited on street parking to the side of the library, in Bath Street. The nearest free public car park is the Wakes Ground on Walsall Street, where parking is free for the first two hours. There is a small pay & display car park opposite the library, off Hall Street.
