The town is gearing up for its very first Orange Chip Champion Festival, a deep-fried celebration of Black Country brilliance. But just as queues begin to curl around the streets, disaster strikes. The orange chips are all wrong. Pale. Limp. Suspiciously un-orange.

This can only mean one thing: sabotage.

DCI Chris P. Batter of the Frying Squad is on the case and needs sharp-eyed detectives to help crack it. Someone has been meddling with spice mixes, fiddling with frying times and attempting to ruin Bilston’s golden reputation.
