Step into the history of our church and community. Discover the stories of Romsey people who helped create the church here today.

Through photographs, documents, personal histories and wartime records, visitors can discover the lives of people connected with the United Reformed Church in Romsey, from its founding in 1662, through the construction of the present building in 1888, to the 1970s.

The exhibition explores the stories of local families, craftsmen and residents across generations, alongside aspects of church life including the choir, Sunday School, and the work of ministers, deacons and elders. It also reflects on the experiences of church members and the wider community during wartime.

The exhibition has been developed with valuable support and contributions from Romsey Local History Society and nearby King John’s House.
