At All Good in the Wood we make handmade furniture from Sweet Chestnut and English Oak. These two species of wood are perfect for furniture as they are handsome, strong and reliable and are an excellent medium for original pieces that can last a lifetime. Our skilled team can create bed frames, tables, chairs, cupboards, garden furniture and more. Each item of furniture is bespoke, and each piece is guaranteed to be an original creation.
We use Sweet Chestnut and Oak for all our projects as they are both durable, weather resistant and their high levels of tannic acid help prevent attack and rot. This makes them ideal for indoor and outdoor use.
All Good in The Wood created approximately 35,000 hand-clefted English Oak shingles to re-shingle the historic belltower spire at Saints Peter, Paul, and Mary at Westbury on Severn, also in Gloucestershire.
