All Hallows' Churchyards, awarded the prestigious Green Flag Award, are maintained by a team of volunteers. Our War and Commonwealth Graves attract international attention. Kirkburton was the first Church to go 'live' nationally with the Burial Ground Management System.
Our ADOPT-A-GRAVE Scheme whereby volunteers choose to adopt and maintain a forgotten or neglected graves attracts interest and support from all ages. Nearly 70 graves have been adopted and the volunteers work in conjunction with our dedicated Graveyard Team. New supporters always welcome. Join KIRKBURTON SKETCHERS to draw and paint in our peaceful Churchyards.
