All Saints, Newchurch, Isle of Wight

All Saints, Newchurch, is a medieval Church of England parish church on High Street in Newchurch, Isle of Wight. The church has Norman origins and celebrated its 900th anniversary in 1987, with surviving evidence of earlier fabric and later medieval development. Historic England records the north wall of the chancel as 12th-century, and the East and South chancel walls as 16th-century. The nave, aisles and transepts are 13th-century, with alterations made in the 14th,15th and 18th centuries. The building is Grade I listed for its exceptional architectural and historic interest and is especially known for its distinctive white weatherboarded tower with shingled spire, ancient sanctuary door, medieval fabric, royal arms of William III dated 1700, historic monuments and parish chest.
