Archives Exhibition
St. Mary the Virgin Church, Church Street, Willingdon, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN20 9HT
The church will be full of archives relating to various sections of Willingdon parish: The history and architecture of the Parish Church, the Village including many historic properties with photographs and descriptions. A section will be on Ratton Manor and the Lords of the Manor, displayed in the Ratton Manorial Chapel within the church. Included is a display of photographs and information on the WW1 Royal Naval Air Station in the parish. See how our bells were removed and restored. A short talk will be given at 2.15pm on the stained glass in the church which dates from 17th century to 20th century, some by eminent artists. The church archivist and stewards will be there to provide information and answer questions.

- Directions:
- Church Street is a turning off the A2270. If coming from Eastbourne take second exit up the main road at Willingdon Roundabout. Go up the hill take turning on left at top of hill by pedestrian crossing traffic lights. There is a bus stop just before Church Street Junction. If coming from the direction of Polegate you must continue past Church Street to the Willingdon roundabout and go round the roundabout and back up the hill in the direction you came. Church Street is the left turning at top of hill by traffic light crossing. If coming from Polegate there is a bus stop just over the brow of the hill. Walk back to pedestrian crossing light opposite Church Street.
