Assembly Arts is an independent art school and artist studios based in Lancaster's beautiful Assembly Rooms, an 18th century grade 2 listed heritage building dating from 1759. The lovely Georgian building, abundant with history and character, provided a venue for concerts and balls, raising money to support the adjoining almshouses on King Street.

In easy reach of both the railway and bus stations, Assembly Arts is located in historic Lancaster city centre. We are just a short distance from the Marketplace Shopping Centre and other Georgian gems including the City Museum in Market Square, the Maritime Museum on St George's Quay and the magnificent Lancaster Castle.
