Assembly Outdoors - Exploring Folklore in Armley

Join Alice Boulton-Breeze for a creative workshop, set in Assembly House's new community garden space to explore the folklore, myth and fable of our beloved home in Armley.

You'll be provided with all materials and create your own artwork to transform our community garden into a new exhibition that brings these often overlooked stories to life. Think Holy Wells, Giants, Ghosts and more.

You can then take your artwork home or find it a permanent resting place within the plants and industrial architecture.

No artistic experience required! Just bring a curious and open mind.

Refreshments will be available as well as tours of our studio space.

FINDING US We are located just off Canal road, in Armley, directly next to Slates furniture shop with our entrance through the orange door. You can get to us easily by driving, walking or using public transport. We are located a 20 minute walk from Burley Park station and a 25 minute walk from Hyde Park Corner. From Leeds City Centre you can get to us using the 15 bus to Canal Road or the 72 bus to Armley Road Pickering Street. CAR PARKING We have a free, onsite car park that you are welcome to use. However parking is limited. ACCESS Unfortunately Assembly House is located on the first floor with no wheelchair access. However, we are happy to arrange digital reproduction or video walk-throughs of exhibitions.
