Bakewell Friends Meeting House
Friends Meeting House, Chapel Row, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1EL
Bakewell Friends Meeting House was a typical Victorian Meeting House with tall elegant windows, a wooden gallery, an elder’s bench and a pot belly boiler. The building was extended and modernised in 2007 but the general layout, the original windows and the elder’s bench remain.
There will be an exhibition about early history of Quakers and of the history of the Meeting House. Friends and staff will be there to welcome you and answer any questions you may have. And there will be tea and cake for your refreshment.
Find us at the end of Chapel Lane, tucked behind the Methodist Church and The Manners pub.
