The grounds of Bank Hall will be open for guests to explore the woodland and gardens with our tree trail and visit the craft stalls in the walled garden and see our new display! The Prospect Tower and Exhibition will be open for pre-booked tours.

We are the perfect property to celebrate Heritage Open Day’s 'Architecture' theme due to our historic campaign to 'Save Bank Hall'! This year we are launching our new display which will be seen in the walled garden and will feature the local works from the Preston area of the Kendal based architect George Webster; who re-modelled Bank Hall in 1832-33.

You can also explore the Bank Hall Gardens and visit the Prospect Tower and Exhibition to discover the history of the house, the story of how it was saved from a ruin and how its former residents influenced the local area.

You can also take a self guided tour of the grounds with our tree trail and discover our special trees within our arboretum and grounds. From the ‘critically endangered’ Dawn Redwoods to the fallen Coast Redwood, Cedars and Lancashire’s oldest Yew amongst others.

Entrance is FREE to the grounds. Craft stalls will be in the walled garden. Refreshments available.
Volunteer information will be available on the day for anyone who would like to get involved with the Friends of Bank Hall projects.
