Banks and Banking in Skipton-in-Craven

Most banks have closed but they were key to business in Skipton and as in most towns, they liked to show off their prosperity with solid buildings most of which now have new uses. Sandy Fishpool will tell you more about the buildings and the bank companies and bankers that occupied them. This Sunday morning walk will go slowly along the High Street looking at 6 or 7 buildings on the way.
