This exhibition is the first in what is destined to become an annual event inspired by the local community initiative Benchmark at Grinham’s Wood. This is an area covering a mile of riverside footpath on the River Tweed from the Union Chainbridge to Horncliffe and the mile up-river to St Thomas’ Island . Through Paths & Benches, Woodland & Wildlife, History & Commemoration, Art & Photography, Health & Wellbeing. ‘Benchmark Festival of Arts’ aims to provide a platform and opportunity for those involved in the local art scene to promote not only their talent and work but to also demonstrate and highlight the attributes of our area. Come and see this introductory exhibition and learn about the history that inspires it and the exciting plans for the future!
