Big Battlefield Walks Weekends - Battle of Edgcote 1469

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Register of Historic Battlefields in England the Battlefields Trust and its partner organisations are arranging a series of battlefield walks in September 2025 to coincide with Heritage Open Days.

Join the Northamptonshire Battlefields Society to explore this little known but fascinating Wars of the Roses battlefield.

Tickets are limited to 30 people and booking is essential.

This walk takes place on permitted footpaths across working farmland covering around five miles and will last a minimum of three hours. The ground will be uneven at times and includes hilly sections. Suitable footwear should be worn. The walk is unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues and those participating should be able to to complete the walk unassisted.
