Friday 13 September | Café, Light Lunches, Exhibition

Join us at Borley Village Hall for Heritage Open Day and discover the story of a building that has served our community for nearly 150 years. Built in 1880 as the village school, the hall has been a social heart of Borley since 1956. Though our parish counts just 49 homes, the hall hums with life—hosting events, celebrations, crafts and art groups.

On 13 September, we’re running a pop-up café serving teas, cakes, and light lunches. While you relax with a slice of something homemade, explore Art from the Islamic World—a vibrant exhibition of traditional crafts, intricate geometric design, and photography. From bold patterns to delicate textures, the display offers a glimpse into artistic traditions shaped by centuries of skill and imagination.

The hall itself, with its original brickwork, tall windows, and peaceful setting, is worth a visit in its own right. Whether you're curious about local history, drawn to global art, or just after a good lunch in good company, you’ll find a warm welcome here.

Free entry. Exhibition and café open 10am–4pm.
