For generations, Brierley Hill Civic has brought people together for performances, celebrations and shared experiences.
For Heritage Open Days, the poster display panels mounted outside the Civic will become an open-air exhibition exploring the history of the venue and the wider story of entertainment in Brierley Hill.
Historic photographs, memories and stories will celebrate the performers, audiences and community events that have helped make the Civic such an important part of the town.
The exhibition will create an engaging stopping point between the other Heritage Open Day venues across Brierley Hill, allowing visitors to explore the Civic’s story at their own pace.
Subject to final permissions, Civic Green may also host small-scale pop-up performances during the day. Visitors should check the Brierley Hill Heritage Open Day programme nearer the event for confirmed details.
Open Day Trail competition
The Civic forms part of the town-wide Open Day Trail.
Follow the trail between participating venues for an opportunity to enter the competition. Brierley Hill Civic has kindly donated two tickets as one of the prizes.
All Heritage Open Day activity described in this listing will take place outside the building.
