Briggate Morris Dancers and Central Methodist Chapel Clogs, bobbins, tea, cake and a warm Methodist welcome

Briggate Morris began in Leeds in 1985. Dancing in the Northwest style, we currently have about 30 active members. We are always happy to welcome new members to our friendly mixed side of dancers and musicians of all ages.

For the last 11 years, we have practised on Monday evenings at the Chapel, fostering excellent relationships with the Methodist Chapel family. We have enjoyed their hospitality and have supported various fundraising events. It is the base for the Live at Home Scheme (MHA) which is a charity working with Horsforth’s elderly people. Join us for an entertaining evening of dance and music. You can simply listen to the music and watch the dancing. However, if you feel like joining in and trying some of the dances we will show you how. You can explore the history of the Chapel, relax in their beautiful gardens and premises. A warm welcome from our hosts awaits you. There will be various refreshments available. (Donations welcome).

Directions:

Central Methodist Chapel is near the top of Town Street in Horsforth, almost opposite Horsforth Library.  It is a 15 minute walk away from Horsforth Train Station.  There are bus stops a short walk away for the 50, 50A and 27.  Please check before travelling. There is ample street parking outside and other public car parks nearby.  Disabled bays are nearby with the venue itself being fully accessible including disabled facilities and toilets.
