Brighton & Hove Women's History Group - Heritage Open Days exhibition

The Regency Town House, 13 Brunswick Square, Brighton & Hove, East Sussex, BN3 1EH

  • 13 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

We are a local women's history group whose aim is to challenge sexism and prejudice by raising awareness of women's contribution to the history of Sussex, especially in Brighton & Hove.

We research, collect and where possible, publish information on the historic contribution of women and girls to the life and heritage of Brighton and Hove.

We facilitate public events that mark and celebrate women’s history in Brighton, along with important campaigns such as the Mary Clarke Statue Appeal.

We encourage others to celebrate women’s history and advise and assist the Council and other local bodies, as appropriate.

We welcome people of all ages to join our group – so if you would like to know more about us and how you can get involved, come along and discover our work.
