For Heritage Open Day 2025, we're celebrating all things built by brick at the Wensleydale Railway! Whether its the unique stations along our railway line, or the many buildings that sprang up around them, were examining local architecture history.

On Saturday 20th September, Leeming Bar Station will be hosting an architecture exhibition designed specifically for Heritage Open Day.
'Building our Railway: The Architecture of Leeming Bar and Beyond' will take a look at the unique architecture of the Wensleydale Railway, and the area around its headquarters in Leeming Bar village, through a mix of historical information, staff talks and tours, photographs, models, and more.
We'll be dipping into our archives to bring an interesting examination of all things brick and mortar. Whether you are a local, or visiting us from far away, we look forward to diving into our railway's fascinating history within the local community.
