County Hall in Preston is one of Lancashire’s most significant civic landmarks and has been at the heart of local government for well over a century. Designed by Manchester architect Henry Littler in the Queen Anne Revival style, the building was officially opened on 14 September 1882 to provide accommodation for the county courts, administrative offices and Lancashire Constabulary headquarters. Following the creation of Lancashire County Council in 1889, County Hall became the centre of county governance and has remained its headquarters ever since.

Enjoy exclusive access to County Hall and soak up its rich and wonderful heritage from 10.00am to 16.00pm.

Discover the fascinating story of Lancashire County Council's County Hall during an engaging talk by Josh Mynott, Chief of Staff at Lancashire County Council.
