Bullington Guided Tithe Tour on Friday 12th September at 2 pm

Milestone, Upper Bullington, Sutton Scotney, Winchester, Hampshire, SO21 3RB

  • 12 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking required

A village walk taking in some of the the historic buildings and SSSI locations along part of the River Dever that is not normally open to the public.

There are two routes available on the day. The public footpath that links Upper and Lower Bullington requires some agility as there are four tricky stiles and a steep embankment over the disused Didcot, Newbury and Southampton Railway line. The alternative route passes under a Victorian viaduct and over the Dever where it splits into several rivulets. Both routes traverse ancient woodland and historic roads dating back to the days of the Hampshire sheep drovers. The circular routes are approximately two miles long and take about an hour and a half to complete.
The meeting point is at the White Milestone next to the Village Hall in Upper Bullington at 1400 hrs; the postcode SO21 3RB. Prior booking is required - please telephone or text 07557989889
