Photographs of Castle Bromwich dating back many years, Newspaper cuttings of events which took place. History books of the area. All will be displayed to view with local history and displays being showcased

Castle Bromwich, originally a Warwickshire village, dates back to the Stone Age and is rich in history. It is home to the stunning Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel, a Jacobean mansion built in 1599 by Sir Edward Devereux, as well as the beautiful 10-acre 18th-century Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens. Other historic landmarks include St Mary and St Margaret’s Parish Church, the Grade II listed coaching inn Bradford Arms, and many original village buildings that still stand today. Photographs from the Arden Hall Archives capture moments from across the years, showcasing local events on the village green, buildings lost to new housing developments, and former farms that made way for schools and residential flats. These images will be displayed alongside newspaper clippings, historical maps, information on Arden Hall (built in 1965), and a selection of books about Castle Bromwich and the surrounding area. Residents will also be sharing their own personal pieces of history, joined by local historical groups. Come along for a fascinating journey into the past — and enjoy a cuppa while you’re here! The event will be held in the main Arden Hall building in Castle Bromwich, the whole event will be held indoors. We do not allow animals inside, apart from service animals. Refreshments will be available for a small cash donation.
