Centred around the timeless theme of love, their performance weaves together the best of English and Ukrainian cultures - and perhaps even more.
Their sound blurs boundaries between genres, eras, and countries, creating an adventurous fusion that moves effortlessly from Ukrainian folk to jazz, or even Ukrainian folk-jazz blended with Polish tango.
The band features two vocalists alongside guitar, violin, saxophone, percussion, and other instruments.
Comprised mainly of Ukrainians and Brits with Ukrainian heritage, joined by close British friends, Cats and Bats embrace fearless musical experimentation. Many members are also part of the Songs for Ukraine choir, united by the Royal Opera House. Through this choir, they have performed at iconic venues such as 10 Downing Street, BBC Radio 3, the Royal Opera House, Windsor Castle, and numerous events celebrating Ukrainian culture.
Their performances radiate cultural richness and emotional depth, making them a perfect match for any event honouring poetry, literature, and music. Cats and Bats captivate audiences by blending tradition with innovation, honouring their roots while exploring bold new artistic horizons.
