An illustrated talk by Paul Hyde – former Heritage Interpretation Officer at Chester City Council - which will provide an introduction and overview of selected key aspects of Chester’s long history from Roman times to the 21st Century.

Paul will cover two millennia in one hour. He will identify a selection of places and features that help to highlight Chester’s rich heritage – which should, for example, provide audience members with ideas to places to explore and suggest various Instagram opportunities. There will be time at the end for any questions.

The Grosvenor Museum Lecture Theatre can be accessed by a lift at the museum entrance. There is a lift to the accessible toilet.

Additional information

Doors to the lecture theatre will open 20 minutes before the start of the talk. If people can be in their seats by 7.25pm to allow a prompt start.
