Christ Church New Mill Open Day
Christ Church, Sude Hill, New Mill, Holmfirth, South Yorkshire, HD9 7ER
First consecrated in 1831 and extended with the addition of the chancel in 1881 the church was beautified with ornate furniture and stained glass windows. The church has had a long musical tradition. We will have displays of local historical information, a catalogue of memorial inscriptions and burial plans or the two graveyards at Christ Church - come and see if you can find your family! There will be a fun trail for children(and parents!). As a forward thinking church we have recently installed solar panels with battery storage and infra-red heating and would love to share how it could benefit other churches. Light refreshments will be available whilst the church is open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday September 19th 2026.
