Churchill Archives Centre Open Day

Home to over 600 collections on the history of modern Britain, Churchill Archives Centre opens its doors for an open day. The Archives Centre looks after the papers of politicians, civil servants, social scientists, journalists, military leaders, and scientists.

Visit our reading rooms to see archival treasures from across our collections, including some of our most popular items and those showcasing daily working life through the ages.

Meet our friendly team to learn more about both our collections and the work that goes into sharing them. Learn about the working life of a conservator through the 20th century, and how our conservation team care for our archives. Learn about how we care for digital archives.

The Archives Centre Reading Room is located on the first floor, with access by stairs or lift. Provision will need to be made elsewhere for those who cannot use the stairs to evacuate in the case of emergency.
