Clarendon Park Congregational Church is the last remaining of the original four Congregational churches in the city. The scale of the building reflects the Victorian splendour of Stoneygate and has become something of a landmark in the area.

Built by James Tait, and opened in 1886, Clarendon Park Congregational Church at the time stood on the very edge of this bustling, economically booming, Victorian town. Over the years the city has seen many changes, but much remains the same within the church. Unusually ornate and architecturally rich for a non-conformist church the interior has seen relatively few changes. Combining the finest materials and craftsmanship within and without, the church has been deemed the 'Cathedral of Congregationalism'. As an independent church, the members are delighted to welcome the public on the afternoon of 13th September.
