"Coast and Country" - a unique exhibition of oil paintings by John S Applegate over the weekend of 12th and 13th September. Refreshments available.

The round tower Medieval church of All Saints welcomes visitors to a special exhibition of oil paintings by well-respected local artist, John S Applegate over the weekend of 12th and 13th September. This will be the second exhibition mounted by this popular artist, featuring his views of Norfolk ports, villages, seascapes and the beauty of the Broadland areas. Expect a range of big skies, seas, rivers, windmills, pleasure craft and much more. This is also a good opportunity to view the nationally important wall painting of St Christopher and a regionally important font. Refreshments will be available, donations appreciated.

Many comment on the peaceful & calm atmosphere in this small village church surrounded by fields. The local community, the Friends & church congregation work together to manage the churchyard in an eco-friendly way, working closely with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust & local conservation groups. Regular audits of the flora & fauna are carried out.

All Saints Church in Hemblington is open every day. Free walk-round guides are available. There is level access into the church, with wheelchair friendly WC facilities. To support local family history enquiries, the baptism, wedding & burial registers have been digitised.
