Connecting the Threads: Free Introductory Tours of the Overlord Embroidery

The Overlord Embroidery was commissioned by Lord Dulverton in 1968 and is on permanent display at The D-Day Story museum in Portsmouth. At 83 metres in length, the embroidery tells the story of Operation Overlord and the Normandy landings of June 1944.

Tours will last for approximately 30 minutes and require booking in advance.

There will be an opportunity to further explore the Embroidery at your own leisure following the conclusion of the tour.

Please note that standard admission prices apply to visit the remainder of the museum and Landing Craft Tank (LCT) 7074. These can be purchased on the day if required.
