Cromer Pier & Pavilion Theatre - Open Doors
Cromer Pavilion Theatre, The Pier, Promenade, Cromer, Norfolk, NR27 9HE
Cromer Pier, the jewel of the Norfolk coast, celebrates its 125th Anniversary in 2026. Stretching 151 metres into the sea, this iconic Victorian landmark has welcomed generations of visitors since officially opening in June 1901, complete with a bandstand at its head. In 1905, this was expanded into the Pavilion Theatre, now home to the world-famous Cromer Pier Show – the only remaining full-season end-of-pier variety show of its kind.
Fresh from being named Pier of the Year by the National Piers Society, Cromer Pier continues to blend heritage, entertainment and seaside charm in spectacular fashion.
To honour the pier’s remarkable milestone, the Cromer & Sheringham Brass Band will perform live on the pier, bringing a celebratory soundtrack to the seafront.
Visitors are also invited to step inside the Pavilion Theatre to enjoy a specially created short documentary for Heritage Open Days, narrated by Norfolk’s very own Olly Day.
