Opportunity for the public to visit an iconic Grade II listed building full of interesting artefacts and lots of local history books

The Watch House was built in 1879 as a Watch House for the Cullercoats Volunteer Life Brigade to watch out for vessels in distress during periods of bad weather; it also served as a local community centre. We put on a small exhibition highlighting local landmarks with lots of old photographs, documents, etc. Refreshments are available.
