CWGC Tours 2026 - Colchester Cemetery
Mersea Road, Colchester, Essex, CO2 8PU
Colchester cemetery is the final resting place of 2 VC ( Victoria Cross) winners from wars over 100 years apart. We will be introduced to a man who fought at Trafalgar to a boy soldier who died aged 15. There are soldiers here from Belgium and all over the Commonwealth including Australians, Canadians, Indians and Chinese. There are also civilian graves from the Severalls Hospital bombing in the 2WW and one of the latest possible CWGC burials of the 2WW, a lady from the ATS. Come and hear their stories, learn about Colchester in both wars and the role and work of the CWGC today.
