CWGC Tours 2026 - Dover (St James) Cemetery

Dover (St James's) Cemetery sadly reflects the importance of the Port of Dover during both World Wars, containing as it does more than 750 graves of British, Commonwealth and foreign casualties. Your guide will tell you about the history and current work of the CWGC and will recount some of the stories of those who rest here. In particular, you will see the two major plots, dedicated to the casualties of the 1918 Zeebrugge Raid and 1940 Dunkirk Evacuation.

The tours will last approx. 60 mins and covers about 800 metres on paths and grass with rough and uneven ground, and some of the site is on a steep hillside. Wheelchair access is possible but there is one short steep section on a path and slopes across the grass.

There is parking available on-site and there are no facilities or toilets on site, so please bring water if required.

Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear.

Only assistance dogs allowed in the cemetery.
