Netley Military Cemetery, Royal Victoria Country Park, Hound, Southampton, Hampshire, SO31 4BU
Royal Victoria Hospital provided surgery and care to the sick and wounded soldiers from the Crimean Wars to WW2. The iconic building finally closed in the 1970's. The CWGC cemetery commemorates the 750 WW1 and WW2, casualties from across the Commonwealth who were treated at the hospital. The tour includes the walk from the cafe to the cemetery, (about 15 mins in addition to the talk length), which is situated in the beautiful woodland close to the Solent shores.
