Difficulty: moderate/hard - some uneven terrain, some steep inclines and descents
Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
We will be walking through Sunnyhurst Woods, to Tockholes Plantation, then up via the Lyons Den route to Jubilee Tower, then returning to the start point, from the tower straight down to Sunnyhurst Woods car park. On a clear day you can enjoy views from the top of the tower across to the Lake District, Blackpool Tower, the Isle of Man and north Wales.
Sturdy footwear such as walking boots is recommended. Please dress for the weather as the route to the tower can be quite exposed. Please bring lunch, we will stop along the route to eat.
