Join us for a celebration of Darwen’s rich architectural heritage during Heritage Open Days! The Stone Mason’s Art invites all ages to explore the town through a series of engaging and creative activities. Budding photographers can take part in our Photography Competition, capturing the beauty and detail of Darwen’s historic buildings. Individuals, families and young adventurers can enjoy a walk, designed to highlight hidden gems throughout the town.

Children are encouraged to get hands-on with colouring activities and a Model Building Competition, where their creations will be proudly displayed within the Heritage Centre. For those curious about the stories our streets and cemeteries tell, join us for a guided Architecture Walk and a journey into the Silent Language of Graveyards, uncovering the history carved in stone.

Whether you're a local history enthusiast or simply curious, there’s something for everyone. Come celebrate the craftsmanship, stories, and legacy that shape Darwen’s unique character.
