Annual Anniversary Lecture by Paul Elliott, Professor of Modern History at the University of Derby
Extremes of temperature combining with more frequent floods and droughts are already affecting ecology around the world.
What might the effects be on our beloved woodlands and parks?
Paul will explain the changes we are likely to see over the next decades, with special reference to Derby Arboretum and other landscapes in and around Derby and Derbyshire.

Directions:
Loudon Lodge is located at the end of Morleston St DE23 8FL, and is accessible from the Arboretum and from Morleston St. There is some parking in Morleston Street or Grove St car park (small charge). Buses 38, 2, 2a, 2b and 2c run along Osmaston Rd. Buses 4, 6,and 7 along Normanton Rd. Derby Rail Station is 10-15 walk.
