Design Detectives: Drawing Carrow’s Hidden Secrets

Discover the hidden architectural details that bring Carrow House to life in this sophisticated drawing workshop for young people (aged 7–16) and their adult companions (if they wish to).

Using photo references of intricate elements — from hand-carved wooden panels and ornate pillars to delicate stained glass — participants will observe, appreciate and capture these small but remarkable features in their own drawings.

Each young artist will take home their finished piece of art as a unique souvenir of their exploration of the building. Spaces are limited and booking online in advance is required, but attendance is free of charge.

Directions:

On arrival through our gates on King Street, follow the route to the right past our Orangery. Beyond here you will see ample free parking. For access requirements, there are a number of disabled parking bays at the front of the building. Once ready, head to our main reception (glass frontage) where one of the Art 4 Youth team will greet you.
